About Our Founder

Dr. Avi has been in the field of education for over 18 years. She is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, a Licensed Behavior Analyst in the state of New York, and a Doctor of Education. Her research focused on the use of Evidence-Based Practices for students with autism in inclusive classroom settings. Recently Dr. Avi has also earned certifications as a Special Needs Life Coach and a Neuro-linguistic Programming  Coach. Over the course of her career, she has worked as an assistant teacher/paraprofessional, general education teacher, early intervention therapist, special education teacher, and lead special education teacher. She has also served as an Assistant Principal and Principal of schools for students with special needs. 

Dr. Avi finds joy in using her knowledge and skills to help others. For the past 6 years, she has served as a part-time adjunct lecturer teaching preservice special educators, and professionals who would like to become autism specialists. Dr. Avi has a passion for working with individuals with autism and other neurodiverse populations. She also loves helping those who would like to work with the population.
